Nothing makes a deployed Marine know that he or she is remembered better than a care package from the home country.

So here is another opportunity to support our troops.

The Detachment is sponsoring a Come Join Us Care Package program. It works this way.

You identify a deployed Marine, along with his or her mailing address. If you want, you can also provide materials for the care package or donate money so that we can buy them and also support the mailing. And even if you don't know a deployed Marine, you can still help the program by donating care package contents and/or money.

We send the care package to the Marine, including any personal note you'd like to have go with it.

You can start by joining us at the individual package level, and as this program builds through community and local business involvement, we'll invite you to become part of a Marine Corps League Detachment 1205 Auxiliary to take part in packing parties. We'll also invite you to become part of our yearly Toys for Tots drive, providing another opportunity for community involvement.

To find out more, e-mail carepackages@loudounmarines.org. We'll be in touch immediately.
